Visiting a website via a cgi web proxy will enable you to visit sites like myspace, freindster, and even check your email by bypassing filters from work, school, or even your country.  If you require a fast proxy, where you do not need to logon, use a PHP-based proxy.  PHP proxies are often faster but usually will not enable logon.
